Social Justice Call for Evidence Report (Completed 2025)
Putting lived experience at the heart of social justice in Walsall
Introduction
Social Justice Call for Evidence Report (Completed 2025)
The Social Justice Call for Evidence was launched to understand the real-life experiences and systemic barriers faced by Walsall residents. Through engagement with over 750 individuals, community groups and professionals, the initiative gathered insight to help shape fair and inclusive policies.
Building on Walsall’s Anti-Poverty Strategy and Community Cohesion Strategy (2025–2035), the project placed lived experience at its core. A committee of Social Justice Champions explored themes of deprivation, poverty and inequality—ensuring that Walsall’s future Social Justice Strategy is grounded in the voices of those most affected.
This work was carried out through extensive engagement during 2024 and was finalised in 2025. It brings together insight from residents, frontline grassroots organisations and professionals, ensuring lived experience remains central to future conversations about social justice, poverty and inequality in Walsall.

Key Focus Areas
While the report explores a wide range of social justice issues, Walsall for All’s ongoing work will focus on three key themes highlighted through the evidence:

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
(EDI)

Education, Employment & Skills

Health & Wellbeing
