Youth Ambassadors

This opportunity is now being offered by Kicsters. Walsall for All is delighted to be advertising this on behalf of Kicsters.

You can apply to become a Youth Ambassador by downloading an application form further below.

Introduction

Tackle issues in your community through social action by becoming a Youth Ambassador! Is there an issue in your area that you’d like to change? Would you like to work on a social action project to solve this? Are you aged 13 or over? If yes, you could apply to be a Youth Ambassador!

We would like to support those with solutions to become Youth Ambassadors – leaders of their own social action project to bring Walsall communities together.

What could I do?

You could:

  • Take part in training and mentoring to develop your idea for a social action project

  • Gain life skills for future personal and career development to add to your CV

  • Create a positive difference for the community you live in

  • Make friends with like-minded young people

When will the events happen?

You’ll be working on your social action project, but there are meetings and training sessions for you to attend to develop your project.

We will also meet up with you at certain points when you’re working on your social action project to hear how things are going and to support you.

Please note, all meetings from now until coronavirus measures are lifted will be online. Please make sure you have access to a computer or smartphone – if you would have difficulties in accessing online discussions, get in contact with Ben - Ben@kicfm.com. Dates and times are subject to change.

What’s the application process?

You can apply by downloading a full application form in a Word document format further below.

The application contains questions on why you want to be a Youth Ambassador and will ask for consent for us to use your information for future communications and participation.

If you’re under 18, you will need a parent or guardian to sign this.

We also ask for a ‘Supporter Reference’. This could be a teacher or youth worker that you’re in regular contact with who could check in with you about your project and your wellbeing. This person cannot be a family member or friend.

Once you’ve completed and submitted your application – send it to Ben - Ben@kicfm.com
