Our Priorities

As we deliver our new programme as an independent CIC, we continue to build on our existing knowledge while learning from both local and national initiatives.

Alongside our current priorities: Promoting Community Cohesion and Building Resilience, Tackling Poverty Through Social Justice, and Empowering Youth, we will:

  • Build on the strengths of our communities while developing inclusive, forward-thinking activities.

  • Draw on our experience with local networks, groups, and spaces to deliver meaningful, place-based work.

  • Ensure equal opportunities for all—regardless of background, identity, or circumstance.

  • Engage, enable, and empower individuals and communities, placing their voices at the centre of everything we do.

  • Collaborate with trusted partners and advisors to guide our strategy and deliver impact.

  • Listen, reflect, and adapt—ensuring our work remains relevant, responsive, and rooted in real experience.

Promoting Community Cohesion and Building Resilience

Our ambition is for Walsall to continue be a borough where people feel connected, respected and confident in their ability to shape the future of their neighbourhoods.

Tackling Poverty Through Social Justice

Our vision is for a fairer Walsall—where the root causes of poverty and exclusion are addressed, and all residents have the opportunity to live with dignity, wellbeing, and purpose.

Empowering Youth

Our vision is for a Walsall where all young people —regardless of background—have the skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed in life. We are committed to removing barriers to employment, education, and leadership for underrepresented youth and ensuring their voices shape the systems around them.
