Promoting Community Cohesion and Building Resilience

Our ambition is for Walsall to continue be a borough where people feel connected, respected and confident in their ability to shape the future of their neighbourhoods.

Through the implementation of the Walsall Community Cohesion Strategy 2025–2035, we aim to strengthen relationships between communities, build trust and create more resilient places. We want people to feel safe, welcome and able to participate fully in civic and community life.

We recognise that real cohesion goes beyond events and celebration—it’s about listening to lived experience, tackling tensions, and giving people the tools and confidence to lead in their communities. We will take a proactive role in identifying challenges, responding to change, and building the leadership needed to make Walsall a place for all.

What will we do?

Walsall Community Cohesion Strategy  2025-20235
