DWP Community Connectors

What are the DWP Community Connectors?

Specialist Community Connectors Bindy, Donna and Hayley are able to support women in Walsall moving forward. They can help with:

  • Learning, training and employment opportunities.

  • Improving confidence and self-belief.

  • Making positive lifestyle changes.

  • Benefit advice.

  • Childcare options and much more.

The Community Connectors are still offering help and support by telephone and email during COVID-19.

Below are some quotes from women who have received support by attending the coffee mornings

"The Coffee Morning at Ryecroft is great. I always meet new people and have a chat with them. It helps build my confidence and get me out the house."

- Participant from the Coffee Morning in North Walsall

“I found the coffee morning really interesting, I met a lot of different people who are unemployed and was in the same boat as me. You all helped out with job search, interview techniques and helped work on my CV. I have now achieved a temporary job as an administrator. Thank you all so much for all the help and support you gave me to get a career I wanted.”
