Alt History: Black British History We’re Not Taught in Schools

Part of BBC Stories, ‘Alt History: Black British History We’re Not Taught in Schools’ sees writers, journalists and historians, present a series of short films exploring forgotten Black British history.

BBC Stories are a series of long and short films aimed at a younger audience (18-24 year olds) that seek to tackle issues relevant to this audience. They cover topics such as race and identity to mental health, money and much more.

Here we present the first in the series, an introduction from writer and historian David Olusoga. Other episodes can be found on YouTube.
