Call to volunteer for hate crime support service in Walsall

Black Country Innovate CIC are currently recruiting volunteers to join their dedicated team to support victims of hate crime, as part of the Walsall Hate Crime Reduction Initiative.

The new multi-agency project across the Walsall borough aims to reduce hate crime and is supported by Walsall for All. A key element of the initiative offers peer-to-peer support that will be available to victims of hate crime.

Black Country Innovate CIC believes it is an excellent opportunity for local residents to be part of a new, dynamic team.

Volunteers will be offered training, work experience, an Enhanced DBS check and an opportunity to make a difference in their local community.

The next training dates are as follows:

  • Hate Crime Victim Support Training – 2nd, 3rd, 11th and 12th (from 10am to 1pm)

  • Safeguarding Training – 5th Feb or 15th Feb (from 10am to 1pm)
